Editor’s Note: The truth of just how many ways there are to be an artist was on stunning display at the Country Club of Darien this past May, thanks to the Garden Club of Darien and their wildly popular Art in Bloom exhibit. With 16 paintings from local artists, each paired with a botanical interpretation designed by members of the Garden Club based on the color, texture, mood and form of the painting, the exhibit was a celebration of creative expression across two artistic mediums.
Open to the public free of charge compliments of the Garden Club of Darien, Art in Bloom reflected the Club’s mission to create, nurture, educate and inspire—bringing people together and enriching the community through art, flowers and nature.
